Part of the core mission of the Network is to offer educational services to the community. One of the ways we do this is providing vetted guest speakers to speak at gatherings on topics of interest to the community. This program has been very popular and we have had a variety of guest speakers come and speak once a month to the community at large on a variety of topics, from the work being done to fight the HIV/AIDS epidemic at the Tuggle Clinic, political developments concerning Arkansans by both activists and political candidates, the history of many attractions in Hot Springs National Park by Park Rangers, and more.
We would like to expand this program to be more comprehensive with speakers and educators who can speak with community members on topics such as LGBTQ+ youth engagement, domestic violence, mental health, HIV/AIDS, elder care, concerns addressing the trans community, and more. We would also like to expand from having just one speaker a month to having multiple speakers throughout the week provided we have the support from the community to do so. We value your thoughts on this. If you have questions about the program, ideas, or would like to be a guest speaker please contact with the program director Bob Loos by clicking here.
